A unique actor training experience in person
The BraveMaker Academy is a unique acting experience that trains actors by making original films with working directors.
We currently meet in-person in Redwood City, California for 6 weeks. The first 4 Wednesdays are 6-9pm, the last 2 Wednesdays are 4-10pm for filming.
2026 Academy Short Film Sessions: $950

TBA if BraveMaker Academy will continue in the fall. We may be on Hiatus until February 2027 while we plan and film our feature at the end of 2026.
Academy sessions are best for actors with at least intermediate experience or who’ve taken an intro class or been on a real set previously. All new academy actors must audition for placement. Each academy session focuses on coaching actors and bringing original characters to life in film and TV. We write original scripts for our registered academy actors. The sessions are taught by working directors so actors learn practical techniques, set etiquette and get real life film experience, that results in a full short film (footage for reels) and a red carpet experience–all our films are screened at our BraveMaker Film Fest in July.
A of February 2026 we have acting technique/scene study and character development classes on Mondays 6:30pm-9:30pm in person, Redwood City Ca with Soma Mitra.
